The Lilly Fork Railroad is owned and operated by Henry J. Sullivan.  It has begun as a small 30 inch gauge iron oar railroad which operated in Roanoke, Virginia circa 1860 to 1920.  The short rail line carried iron ore from the mine pit to a transfer station connecting to the Norfolk and Southern standard gauge railroad.
